A truffle pastry is a decadent chocolate dessert that uses either the rich, creamy filling of a chocolate truffle or is infused with the flavor of the prized underground fungus, a truffle, to create a luxurious pastry. Most often, the term refers to a layered cake made with moist chocolate sponge, a chocolate truffle ganache or filling, and often topped with whipped cream or chocolate glaze
